Power electronics and inverter control
Hi, I'm Kristian Skorpen, a hardware engineer specializing in power electronics and control theory. I work full-time in Pixii, which designs grid-connected battery systems (BESS).
Courses
Tools
Buck converter simulator
Pick the topology, write the control loop in C, and run a real switched-converter simulation that closes the loop cycle by cycle.
Single-phase inverter simulator
Switch the H-bridge or run the averaged model, write the current and power loops yourself, and watch the filter current follow its reference.
Boost PFC simulator
Write both loops, regulate the DC bus above the grid peak, and shape a spiky rectifier current back into a sine.
Plot Explorer
Drop a multi-parameter sweep dataset and explore it: choose the axes, drag sliders for the rest. Nothing is uploaded.
Simulation models
Boost PFC
A Simulink model of a boost PFC with an inner current controller and an outer voltage controller.
Totem-Pole PFC
A totem-pole PFC in Simulink with inner current and outer voltage control.
Half-Bridge PWM in Simulink
A half-bridge PWM in Simulink - one triangular carrier, one switch pair, two-level output.
3-Phase Inverter in dq-frame (with PLL and Current Control)
A 3-phase inverter in dq-coordinates: Clarke + Park transforms, a PLL for grid synchronisation, and a decoupled PI current controller.
